The map has been updated and extended. The Training course will be an Orange’y/Light Green course using tiny markers so you’ll need to be spot on with your navigation ! Good practice for the following weekend’s Scottish Championships.

Parking Parking is in the car park behind Bowhill House. The grounds will be open for visitors by this date and there is a charge for car parking. We have negotiated a special price of £2.50 per car which gains you entry for the day, including access to the Adventure Playground (what a bargain!). Tell the kiosk gentleman that you are orienteering and he will charge the reduced fee.

Entry fees: To partly off-set the car parking charge we have a special once-in-a-lifetime half-price bargain offer on entry fees for single competitors !

Juniors and students: £0.50.

As a result of the snow we’re unable to get the new map of Lanton Woods completed in time, therefore the venue for our SoSOL on 21/3/10 has been changed to Elibank, near Walkerburn.

Our CATI on 27/2/2010, which was going to be at Elibank, has now moved venue to Bowmont Forest, near Kelso.

2010 Club Championships and AGM

Date: Saturday 20 February 2010.

Venue: Bowanhill, Teviothead.
Organisers: Tullie family.
Parking etc: Meet at Teviothead Village Hall by 11.30am for a 12 noon mass start up the hill somewhere.

This will be a closed event for club members only. Please email John Tullie (john “at” bowanhill.demon.co.uk) if you intend competing. This ensures we print sufficient maps and also gives him time to massage the seeding. Bribes are very welcome but will have absolutely no effect on the handicaps !

The usual social/AGM will take place in Teviothead Hall after the race.
