About us
Where are Roxburgh Reivers based?
Roxburgh Reivers is a small Orienteering club based in the Scottish Borders. We currently have over thirty members with addresses ranging from Central Scotland to Northumberland, as well as the many local members. Althought the club has no actual ‘centre’, the majority of the members come from the Hawick, Jedburgh, Melrose and Tweed valley area.
Roxburgh Reivers hold several events a year in various areas in the Scottish Borders and the club also help to put on a day at the Six Day Festival every two years, usually supplying at least one official (ie planner or organiser or controller). Our mapped areas include Elibank in the Tweed valley, Bowhill Estate (home to the Duke of Buccleuch), Eildon Hills overlooking Melrose and an open moorland area near Teviothead. We also have lots of smaller woods mapped such as Bowmont, near Kelso and Selkirk Hill plus several local parks.
For information about permanent orienteering courses in the Scottish Borders, see the Permanent Orienteering courses information page.
